The Health and Safety (First–Aid) Regulations 1981 require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work.
In the event of injury or sudden illness, failure to provide first aid could result in a casualty’s death. The employer should ensure that an employee who is injured or taken ill at work receives immediate attention.
The Health and Safety Executive will prosecute in cases where there is a significant risk, a disregard for established standards or persistent poor compliance with the law. FIRST AID At Work Courses
Our first aid at work courses comply with and surpass the first aid at work regulations 1981. No matter if it’s a one day or three-day course it’s tailored to your workplace needs.
PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID Courses
We provide fully accredited in-depth courses specifically for those working with children. These courses will teach you everything you need to know about administering first aid to children and recognising signs and symptoms of multiple illnesses.
Combined First Aid at Work & Paediatric First Aid Course
This extended 3 day regulated course is ideal for those who require First Aid at Work training but also work closely with children. It covers all there is to know about first aid in the workplace and includes additional training on injuries and illnesses common in children.
Specialist First Aid Training Courses
As well as the common first aid at work courses listed previously, BSM Training and Consultancy offer some specific specialist first aid courses. Including SYFA approved courses and courses on Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis. Our forestry commission course also includes catastrophic bleeding.
