The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations.
It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities. During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries

Course Content:
This qualification covers:
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
- Assessing an emergency situation
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and defibrillation
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Seizures
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Minor Injuries
- Cuts, grazes and bruises
- Minor burns and scalds
Assessment Criteria:
- Demonstrate CPR and safe use of an AED
- Demonstrate ability to administer first aid on a choking casualty
- Demonstrate ability to carry out first aid on an unconscious casualty
- Demonstrate ability to manage wounds, bleeding and shock, plus optional extra – catastrophic bleeding
- Complete a multiple choice question paper with a pass mark of 11/15
