The first aid at work revalidation training course is a two day course which updates the first aid skills of those who need to renew their First Aid at work certificate.
This is only available to those who still have an in date First Aid at Work Certificate. The Health and Safety Executive strongly recommends that you revalidate within a month of your certificate expiring.

Course Content:
This qualification covers:
- The role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing an incident
- Managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and defibrillation
- Recovery Position
- Heart Attack
- Stroke
- Choking
- Epilepsy
- Asthma
- Diabetes
- Anaphylaxis
- Shock
- Head and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Wounds and bleeding
- Fractures, sprains, strains and dislocations
- Minor injuries
- Burns and scalds
- Poisoning
- Eye injuries
Assessment Criteria:
- Demonstrate CPR and safe use of an AED
- Demonstrate ability to administer first aid on a choking casualty
- Demonstrate ability to carry out first aid on an unconscious casualty
- Demonstrate ability to manage wounds, bleeding and shock, plus optional extra – catastrophic bleeding
- Demonstrate secondary survey
- Demonstrate the management of fractures
- Complete 2 multiple choice question papers with a pass mark of 11/15 and 18/25
